Thanks for stopping by!

I’m passionate about seeing small businesses grow and grow by using digital marketing.

Skibility is an informational blog grown out of that passion by me, Doug Moore. Working with businesses small and large, and seeing how those businesses can take advantage of new marketing streams, I decided to launch Skibility to organize the information and tools that give businesses the ability to succeed.

In the beginning…¬†

My entrepreneurial seed was planted at a very early age. In my tweens, I was selling blueberries at the local general store, and green beans on a table along the road.

After graduating from Houghton College (@houghtoncollege) many (underline) years ago, I decided that there was more that I wanted to do and experience. I managed to get an Associates Degree in Art with another focus in Business, but I thought that the school of hard knocks was probably more my style. I took off to France for a couple of months, then settled into working with my hands back in the US. My jobs went from carpentry to fine furniture design and building – mostly working as a sole proprietor.

About 13 years ago, I made the transition to working almost entirely with my brain, and giving my hands a break! I’ve been able to apply my former education and experiences to the next project. I began doing website development and digital marketing(Maine Graphics) at that point. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning and applying…

Location, location, location

Except for a few years, I’ve lived in rural areas. For the past 20 years, I’ve lived in Maine and western Massachusetts before that with my lovely wife. Maine has been a great place to raise a family and provides lots of those ‘rural activities’. Acadia National Park, Moosehead Lake, The sandy beaches, and the great city of Portland are all within reach.

My goals for you …

On this site, I aim to equip you with the information and tools to jump start your business. Each week I’ll be adding new tips and tricks on digital marketing with a focus on Facebook and Google Adwords.
